Unlocking the African Design Economy
KISUA aims to provide a sustainable platform for African craftsmen and designers to access the international market. We fund designer collaborations through the KISUA Designer Fund, and provide financial support to African designers by paying a portion of every sale from collaborative collections directly to the designer.
We have established large scale manufacturing capabilities and overcome infrastructural hurdles to ensure the seamless delivery of African fashion to the world. With development, production and distribution taken care of by KISUA, the quality of every garment is guaranteed. The majority of our sourcing and production takes place in Africa.

A Proudly African Team
Following extensive travel across Africa, KISUA's Ghanaian Founder Sam Mensah Jr, previously Intel Capital Africa Director and Deutsche Bank analyst, believed Africa could offer the world a fresh perspective on style. He had a vision for an international ecommerce platform that would take African fashion to global customers and create opportunities for African designers.
KISUA's advisory board includes renowned Savile Row tailor Ozwald Boateng and former CEO of textile company Vlisco, Joop van der Meij.
The KISUA team has experience in fashion design and production, ecommerce and global logistics.

“To dress beautifully; to adorn with elegance and intention.”
In Swahili, kisua speaks to the art of dressing — not merely as an act of covering the body, but as a declaration of identity, heritage, and pride. It is the language of cloth made personal.
